Our 100% Donation Policy
Every single penny of your Zakat and Sadaqah reaches those in need. This is not a marketing claim — it is a written, verifiable policy.
What the 100% policy means
When you make a Zakat donation through World Aid Network, the full amount you donate reaches the intended beneficiaries — poor patients receiving cataract surgery and cancer treatment in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Nothing is deducted for administration, staff salaries, office costs, or any other overhead.
How we cover our costs
Our administrative costs are covered through two specific, transparent sources:
- Gift Aid: For eligible UK taxpayer donations, the government adds 25p for every £1 donated. This Gift Aid uplift is used to cover operational costs — it is not Zakat and is not claimed on Zakat funds.
- Administrative donations: We accept specific donations from supporters who understand the importance of operational funding and wish to contribute directly to running costs, distinct from their Zakat obligation.
Zakat funds and administrative funds are kept in strictly separate accounts. There is no cross-subsidisation.
Scholar validation
Our 100% donation policy has been reviewed and validated by Islamic scholars. The principle that Zakat must reach its intended beneficiaries in full, without deduction, is a foundational requirement of Zakat law. Our administrative structure has been designed from the ground up to satisfy this requirement.
Full accountability
We publish transparent reporting on all Zakat distribution. Donors may request reports on how their specific donation was used. Our partner hospitals and clinics provide patient verification, treatment records, and cost receipts for every funded procedure.
Gift Aid and your tax position
If you are a UK taxpayer donating as an individual, you may elect to have Gift Aid claimed on your donation. World Aid Network will then receive an additional 25p per £1 from HMRC. This Gift Aid is used exclusively for administrative costs — never added to Zakat distribution. If you pay higher-rate income tax, you can claim additional tax relief through your self-assessment tax return.
